The Research and Technology Week ceremony was held at the Royan Institute with the presence of distinguished scientific and research figures. At this ceremony, Dr. Parvaneh Afsharian, Vice President for Research and Technology at the Royan Institute, presented the institute’s major achievements in the fields of stem cells, infertility, disease treatment through cell therapy, biotechnology, and biomedicine.
Dr. Hassan Moslemi Naeini, President of the Academic Jihad Organization, emphasized in his speech the importance of research and technology in addressing societal challenges and its impact on the nation’s progress.
Subsequently, Dr. Shahin Akhondzadeh, Deputy Minister for Research and Technology at the Ministry of Health, spoke about the scientific achievements of the Royan Institute and emphasized the need for greater attention to research and development at the national level.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, an exhibition of Royan Institute’s research achievements was held, where Kian Immune Cell’s products were showcased. The company introduced innovative biotechnology products that make significant contributions to scientific and therapeutic advancements in the country.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Dr. Marzieh Ebrahimi was honored as the winner of the “Women’s Accelerator in Healthcare and Medicine” competition at BRICS Russia 2024. This achievement reflects the outstanding accomplishments of Iranian researchers on the global stage.
